Holy crap. I signed up for faceborg a couple months ago, never posted on it. There was a dribble of friendings, but in the last two days, I've gotten nearly 50 friending notifications. Half of them are already LJ-friends. A few are people I don't even know.

The fact that I'm posting this here rather than there says something.

Yeah, that was me. When adding a friend who doesn't have a lot of other friends, Facebook asks for "friend suggestions" and I gave it about 80 of them.

"There" isn't really a journalling place. It's really easy to lose stuff or never see it there, because stuff flows so fast plus their code is sketchy. If you're not looking at it all the time you lose touch, but if you *do* scan it constantly, people think you're 24x7 available to them online. Despite being online pretty much all of my waking hours, I'm *not* available all those hours so I have rather less interest in that medium.
