I posted this to suspects a couple days ago, but neglected to mention it here.

Why yes, thank you for asking. We are, in fact, having our nth annual
traditional come-as-you-are (even-if-that's-hung-over) New Year's Day party.

> Saturday, January 1, 2011; 6pm to late
< 114 Marblehead St, North Reading MA
> http://www.psgd.org/paul/directions.html

< 4 cats, 1 dog, medicate as appropriate
> children welcome, not child-proof
< guests welcome, please introduce
> barbeque! beer!
< no rvsp, just show up

You were already planning on being there, yes?

As I was recycling this from last year's invitation (and the year before's, etc), I was wondering what "n" was in "nth annual", because I've honestly forgotten. We used to say things like "7th annual very-nearly-traditional", but switched to "nth" sometime before 01/01/01, and I don't seem to have saved any older suspects mail. Bummer, because n is somewhere around 20, but it would be nice to know for sure.

This just went out to suspects, but LJ covers a bunch of people who I know aren't on suspects. In particular, my flist is composed of Most Excellent People who I would be glad to have in my house. (Stalkers are another thing, but I'm not going to friends-lock this after sending it to all of suspects.)

The major details are:

Saturday, October 23, 2010; 6pm - late
114 Marblehead St, North Reading MA
http://www.psgd.org/paul/directions.html

The minor details are:

4 cats and 1 dog live here; medicate as necessary.
Children are welcome, but the house is nothing like child-proof.
Guests we don't know are welcome, but introduce yourselves.
RSVPs are not required; either come or don't, eh?
Above all, be excellent to each other.

PLUS! Out with the old! Take our clothes off! (the floor, I mean.) I'd give you the shirt off my back! (Hey, it happened a couple parties ago.) We're cleaning out our closets, and we want to give you stuff that you might wear, that we won't.

If you want to add stuff to the pile, you're welcome to, but it's not required to win a prize.

The fall social calendar is filling up, and I've saved most of the announcements/invites, but probably not all.

Is there any major conflict for 10/14? If not, we're claiming it (for the geographic locality of Greater Boston, and the demographic locality of thems as would come to our party in the first place).
