These are mostly variations on what they call bakfietsen ("box bikes"), used for transporting cargo and small children.

So with the top one (with the orange box with the black plastic cover)...
Do they transport kids in that with the cover closed?

there's someone at lincoln who does basically that, though the cover is transparent vinyl which makes it less funny :)
