So you know I have this tux jacket that I habitually wear to cons, with the sleeves rolled up to just under the elbow. I got it at a thrift shop about 10 years ago, and the sleeves haven't been unrolled since. I was at the Tech party at Arisia, and one of the costumers identified the jacket as vintage, just from the exposed sleeve lining. (They use lightweight satins these days, apparently.) Then she reached into the inside pocket, and folded out a label I never knew was there, to show me the manufacture date - September 27, 1952.
