On Saturday, I did a commando tour of Banff and Lake Louise, before heading back to Calgary to catch the red-eye home.

On Sunday, I went riding in the Harold Parker State Forest. It was a fabulously beautiful afternoon, and saw exactly 0 other horses, 0 bikes, 2 hikers, and 2 families having a barbequeue on the beach. Other than that, I had the entire 3000+ acres to myself. Freaky.

Upper Johnston Falls.

Mirror Lake, above Lake Louise.

Big Beehive. The fellow directly in front of me is a 1985 MIT grad who studies Kendo.

Lake Agnes, from the teahouse. 7700 ft.

Lake Louise, with glaciers in the distance. 5500 ft.

Why I didn't get to soak in the hot spring. That, and I didn't have the $7 for the big commerical hot spring up the hill.

Kidney Spring. The soaking pool is big enough for 1 person. Just looking, officer.
