It's official, I'm going to California for my aunt's memorial service on Friday. It's a real downer in a way, of course, but I look forward to seeing the rest of the family again. We're so geographically scattered that it takes a lot to get us together.

Thanks to everyone who sent kind words, or even kind thoughts. I know a number of you are going through your own crises, some more personal and/or protracted, and I'm sorry I haven't been more supportive. My LJ time has been so scattershot lately that I've missed a lot of stuff.
