Rode Cheyenne in our first parade (for either of us) today. It's a little round-the-block affair in North Reading, but we can walk to it from the barn, so everyone can go who wants to (not limited by space in the trailer). Cheyenne is somewhere in the neighborhood of 30, but still full of spit and vinegar, and it's taken this long to get him to the point where I felt comfortable taking him in any parade - there are a lot of distractions, and it would be Bad if he freaked out in the direction of innocent bystanders. But he was positively well-mannered on the way down, and in the parade itself. OTOH, he was a complete spazz on the way back, but I'm still proud of him. Props to [livejournal.com profile] lyonesse for the lessons and the trail rides and the words of insight and encouragement. Also, thanks to Francie for being my designated walker in the parade, and Kylie and her friend Julia for carrying the banner. No pics, because I forgot my camera.

Then we went out to see Prince Caspian. It was generally good, but they took some unneccesary liberties with the story.
