In other news, they finally hauled away the rock drill yesterday. The holes are set up for one more round of blasting, but that's it. Of course they'll start working at 7:00 in the morning, with back-hoes, dump trucks, bulldozers, road graders, and what have you, just not the rock drill.

Ironically, the two remaining oak saplings obstructed my view of the one boom that I've been home to witness. So we're going to CUT THEM DOWN WITH A CHAINSAW!! To hell with the iludium Q-36 explosive space modulator, we're going to rape the land with our bare hands!! And teeth!! Yes, teeth...

My teeth grind in sympathy for you having to deal with the sound of a rock-drill. Francie mentioned it the other night, and I'm so glad for you that it's over. Lord I Hate the sound of jack-hammers, and it's got to be at least as bad as them.
