The course I wanted to take this summer (Advanced Photoshop) has been cancelled. This is one of two electives in the certificate program that I'm actually interested in taking, neither one of which has been offered in living memory. Now they taunt me with it, and pull it away at the last minute. Why? Because I'm lame, and tried to register a week before the class was scheduled to start, on the very day they decided to cancel it. Yes, the irony is killing me.

I've been pissing and moaning that I haven't had the time to do anything creative lately, and the only thing for it was to pay a stack of money, and force myself to make the time. But they won't take my money (nor give me credit), so I'm back to the reliable self-discipline.

Starting today (err, yesterday [Tuesday]), the day the class was to begin, for the next 8 weeks (the duration of the class), I will set the incredibly low bar of taking at least one photo every day. (If that works, I may raise the bar to one usable photo every day.) About once a week (the approximate frequency of class assignments), I'll post something interesting and/or artistic, to exercise my Photoshop muscles.

(But for now, an old icon [from explodingdog], and a bunch of text...)

I've learned a lot about photography and Photoshop, both, over the past four months. Exactly four months today, as a matter of fact :) Generic take-a-photo-every-day plans have never worked for me, but somehow take-a-picture-of-Alice-every-day seems to working at 18 weeks and counting.
