Yesterday was all about the awesome. Quality time with some totally excellent people, lots of hugs, and lots of good conversation. I'm not usually a terribly verbal person, so this felt more significant than it sounds now. Anyway, you all rock my little world.

Today I'm in San Francisco, and I have a nasty sore throat. I don't think I could have gotten it at the party, and I sure hope I didn't give it to anyone there. Being sick is no fun, and being sick when you're traveling is especially trying.

I have a complicated relationship with the Bay area. It's a great place, full of great people and interesting things to see, but too much travel in 2001-2004 made it feel like Exile to me, and the feeling still hasn't worn off. Every time I get on the plane, I get the feeling in the pit of my stomach that says "Oh no, not again."

i woke up with a bit of sore-throat today myself, and liz said she had a little that morning, so i think something of that kind may be makin' some kind of small rounds. take care of yourself, i hope you feel better soon!

you always rock my tiny world, in words and otherwise. *hugs* at any distance.

The coast to coast trip is a bit gruling, though the direct flight makes it less bad. I go way out of my way to not do transfers when I go form seattle to boston. Hope SF goes well! Enjoyed hanging out on Saturday!

Virgin America now flies non-stop BOS-SFO, for cheap too. When I was commuting to California, it was usually Manchester to Oakland, so I spent a lot of time in O'Hare or Dulles.

Anyway, it was great to see you, and I wish you a safe and uneventful trip back.

It was an great party with *all* awesome people! Thanks to Lyo for hosting it, the helpers for helping and everybody else for just being there. I had a fabulous time with everyone and especially enjoyed the time we spent together after the party wound down.

Have fun, if you have time, in the bay area. I lived there for a few years and have many of the same feelings about it that you do. Depending on where you are (you said, but I don't remember) I might be able to give you some good restaurant suggestions. Lemme know.

I also woke up with a sore throat and still have it. I thought it might be just dehydration, but I guess not.

hugs, and get well soon.

And on a completely unrelated note...
