It's the Wolf Moon tonight. The moon is also at perigee, making it 14% wider and 30% brighter than usual. Clear skies tonight (goes along with freaking cold). Go look now.
We watched it rise over some mountains earlier. It was like a MOVIE MOON. I was wishing for a decent camera but I know that it wouldn't have done it justice.
After living in this house for 15 years (and for the first time in 150 years), we now have a window (skylight) in the upstairs bathroom (I find this very exciting). The moon is bright enough to provide illumination for reading (if you're standing underneath the skylight).
