The Rails to Trails Conservancy's Trail of the Month is the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls MA. This is a disused trolley bridge that was turned into a garden over the river in the 1920s.

For some reason I've never been there, and I thank the RTC for bringing it to my attention. The only thing it, it doesn't open until April.

I too appreciate the RTC, and is one of the few orgs that I still give money to when I'm unemployed..

sunspiral took me there a few summers ago; it's gorgeous in season. And very romantic, in case that's something you might want to keep in mind. We saw lots of couples there. ;-)

There was also a really good restaurant on the street leading toward the bridge, IIRC. Maybe a good place for an anniversary date...?

Yeah, not a lot of flowers in February. :) Nightfly^ lives pretty close to there, so I visit pretty regularly. Also check out the glacier potholes on the river near there, and the glass blowing place.

Oh it's beautiful. Well worth a stop as you go to or from the Berkshires. A short walk from the Bridge of Flowers is a tiny, volunteer run trolley museum with a working trolley (that goes, like, a quarter of a mile but is still full) and some small exhibits. Also good ice cream.
