passing by

There was a period when I was listening to Ulrich Schnauss's Far Away Trains Passing By a lot. It's ambient, but with really nice melodic structures. Oddly, none of his later work has stuck to me, just this one. Anyway, I not only enjoy listening to it on its own merits, but I find it very soothing; when travelling, it's the music I fall asleep to. The thing is, I think I over-used it for soothing; when I listen to it now, it puts me in an edgy frame of mind where I need soothing.

i have similar issues with "no quarter" (the whole album) and "solsbury hill" (just the song).
