kirkcudbrightAs you know, Amsterdam has a Sex Museum, mere steps (slightly big steps) from Centraal Station.

There was an exhibit of historical sexually themed photos, both commercial and amateur. I was especially taken with this amateur one from the 40's or 50's, because she looks so damn happy (dare I say ecstatic).
For better or worse, this was the sort of porn I grew up with.
And then there's sculpture
Sculpture in the public walkway around the Oude Kerk (Old Church) in the Red Light District
Not pornographic - public urinals in the Red Light District (because it's better than the alternatives?)

Date: 2010-09-04 03:16 pm (UTC)I remember that there was a 'Sex Delicatessen' near the hotel where my classmates and I stayed when I went to Amsterdam through my college program. I was the tender age of 20 at the time and soooooo innocent of the World. I didn't have the nerve to go in there at the time.
Now I wish I had. ;-/
