This just went out to suspects, but LJ covers a bunch of people who I know aren't on suspects. In particular, my flist is composed of Most Excellent People who I would be glad to have in my house. (Stalkers are another thing, but I'm not going to friends-lock this after sending it to all of suspects.)

The major details are:

Saturday, October 23, 2010; 6pm - late
114 Marblehead St, North Reading MA
http://www.psgd.org/paul/directions.html

The minor details are:

4 cats and 1 dog live here; medicate as necessary.
Children are welcome, but the house is nothing like child-proof.
Guests we don't know are welcome, but introduce yourselves.
RSVPs are not required; either come or don't, eh?
Above all, be excellent to each other.

I and my spouse will be out of the country, and will regret not seeing you.

Huh, I thought you were his spouse.

Everyone is so secretive about who they are and who they are partnered with. Weird.

I am not so secretive that you can't go to my profile here, follow a link to my webpage and see exactly who I and my actual spouse are. If you cared.

I don't see much information on him there, though I do not see his name is different from the one Kirkudbright lists in his profile here. (I had checked that site out a while back, just out of curiosity, and I'd thought I'd seen a picture of your husband, and I remembered him looking like Kirkudbright, and had read something about Vicka going up to your farm, and just put it all together and got the idea that they were the same person. Also, I got a lot of hits on my journal from NH, during the time Vicka was spending a lot of time on my journal, and presumed that it was from someone intimately involved with Vicka - though maybe you are also one of her partners!)

Anyway, sorry I didn't do more research to get it correct. Though I'm guessing that it's not your priority to identify yourself on LJ as being with a certain person. Which seems pretty common.

EDIT: typo there, sorry. Try:

@ lyo - you ain't kidding. how does "here is my entire genealogy back to 1600" not count as "much information"?

Hoo boy, I need to read my own journal more often. :)

I'm SO not jbvb. I don't actually look much like him, except for being a middle-aged white guy with long hair. Full disclosure: I worked for him for a while when we were both younger, and there are aspects of him that I try to emulate, and/or wish to emulate. He's a good guy, but he ain't me.

I don't cloak my identity on LJ (my real name is in my profile, for Ghu's sake), but I respect other people's desire to do so. I might occasionally mention either the name or the ID of my actual spouse, but never together.

Well, shoot. That evening I'll be in State College, feverishly trying to get as much done as possible before [livejournal.com profile] sunspiral arrives the next day.

Yay! I love your parties! I'll definitely be there, along with most or all of my SOs and other family members.

Did you know that LJ lets you ban individual users from commenting in your posts? Just FYI....

Go to http://www.livejournal.com/manage/banusers.bml to do it.

Meh, this was all far too amusing. I only recently took the step of banning anonymous comments, because of our troll.
