Kylie has been sick since Monday afternoon. Occasionally perky, more often droopy by day, vomitous by night. Took her to the doctor today; she was friendly and sympathetic, but singularly unhelpful (in the American sense of medicine - I want a firm diagnosis and a pill, now). It's not the flu, and it's probably not strep, so it's probably something viral. Took a throat culture anyway, just in case.

I really hope she's better by tomorrow, for Arisia. At Arisia '00, when she was 5, she got sick on Friday night, and stayed sick most of the weekend. We had to call housekeeping 4 times that night to replace sheets, blankets, pillows, etc. I couldn't bag out of the con, because I was chairman that year. Ah, memories. (Though it did underscore the fact that, if you did everything right, the conchair should not have to do much at the con.) So anyway, not that again.

Seems to be better now. Maybe it was the Coke, maybe it was the beef bouillon (Francie's boss was once hospitalized for a sodium deficiency, with symptoms of vomiting and listlessness), or maybe it was just going to the doctor that did it. But she's been perkier, and didn't hurl all day.

Tomorrow is another day. Tomorrow will tell.

Didn't know she'd been sick. :( Ah, yes, I remember that con. I had a nice comforting conversation with your lady while you were at some meeting or other.
