10 things

Because I'm lame. And because I always seem to want to post when LJ is doing maintenance on my cluster ('round midnight). And because I racked my brain for 10 things I've done that you haven't.

1. I biked from Glasgow to London with a group of amputees. (I wanted to lead off with "I biked across the country, but at least two people on my friends list also did that.)

2. I'm still in every long-term relationship I've started (both of them), one for 21 years, the other for 15 years.

3. I once broke into someone's house and cleaned it.

4. I got a college degree without any financial aid, and without either me or my parents going into debt. (Okay, I know there are others who did this.)

5. I've worked at at least staff level at all but one Arisia.

6. For my mother-in-law's 70th birthday party, I made two dishes I had not only never made before, but never even seen or tasted before (and she greatly enjoyed them).

7. At a science fiction convention in Poland, I attempted a conversation in French with the guest of honor.

8. I've been camping in sub-0° weather. (I can't recommend it.)

9, I treated a case of hypothermia in July.

10. I used to buy my comic books from Peter Laird, before he created Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
