kirkcudbrightPicked up two more hens today from Nevins Farm - a 1 year old gray Silkie, and 4 month old Rhode Island Red barnyard cross with major white highlights. No major trauma so far introducing them to the other birds. Pictures when practical.
This brings us up to 6 birds, which is close to a full house, although we could probably squeeze in a Seabright if we find one.

Date: 2005-10-08 08:25 pm (UTC)We kept chickens when I was a kid... I remember a lot of it... and I've been thinking about maybe getting 4-6 of them... but I'm worried about how much dealing I'll need to do during the winter.
