cookies, ice cream, and bikes (naturally)
Apr. 1st, 2006 11:47 pmThis afternoon, Kylie and I biked down to Scott&Rachel's to (finally) pick up our Girl Scout cookies from Talia. Kylie was on the tag-along bike, and one of my brandy-new panniers was on the rack to carry the loot. There was a moment of panic when it looked like 12 boxes of cookies weren't going to fit, but the pannier is bigger than I thought. Life was good, and we stopped for ice cream on the way home. But the rain caught us about 10 minutes after we left the ice cream place, about 6 miles from home. I had a front fender on at the time, but not a back fender, and the tag-along doesn't have a fender, so Kylie was getting spray from my wheel on her front, and spray from her wheel on her back. Threw her in the tub as soon as we got home, and I was wringing gray water out of her underwear. But the cookies were dry, and that's what matters.
