It would look great at Burning Man, espcially if you had lots of EL wire all over the wheels, and you didn't mind how hard it would be to pedal around over the Playa.
But his quantitative claims about the design and it's capabilities are a steaming pile of BS. Oy. Someone glue that guy down onto a college lecture hall and force-feed him a basic physics text. Send the model (the human, not the bike prototype) my way ;-) He can have her back once he can correctly explain what torque and power are.
Fine as excercise equipment. A combination of too expensive and wide to be viable as transportation, I think, unless the energy crunch really does push the masses to human powered transportation.
