(I got it from [livejournal.com profile] lyonesse, and she got it from oh, never mind...)

Reply to this post, and I will list three things I love about you. Maybe more than three. Then repost to your own journal and spread the love.

If you're gonna be a party pooper and refuse to spread the love, don't bother replying... what comes around goes around, so no love, sorry!

[Edit: But I should know better than to post this right before bed on a work night. Your love is important to us, please stay on the line...]

I love how you gave me design clues I didn't even know I needed, the first time I did the Arisia souvenir book.

In fact, I love that you're so well-clued in so many areas that are useful to fandom, without ever being pushy about it.

I love seeing you with your Aileen, and I'm sorry I still haven't met the other two.

I love your laugh, and your hugs, and the fabulous person you are.

I love that you took the dream of the back-to-the-land organic farmer, and ran with it longer, and farther, and harder than anyone else I know.

I love that you found a partner in this venture who shares your vision, and who you feel is worth the effort of working things out with. 'Cause farming isn't easy, and living with J isn't easy.

I love your lack of bullshit.

I love your hugs.

just to reciprocate, because I want to:
I love your hugs.
I love the way you are there when your friends are in need. (thank you)
I love the quiet, yet firm way you have with people and critters, especially the horses.

I love your purple couch, and your purple violin, and your purple hair, and I think there's purple boots there too.

I love that you love music enough to play with all sorts of groups. I love that you take your music seriously without being all serious about it. I love that you played at your own wedding.

I love your art books.

I especially love that you bailed me out of a tight spot a couple years ago. Thanks.

I have never filtered or locked a single post. I have no regrets.

I love that you designed an Arisia registration system (not just the software, but the whole process) that goes way beyond the software and processes I cobbled together in my time. I seriously enjoyed seeing my Access database obsoleted.

I love that you embraced the co-housing idea, stuck with it, drove it forward, and now it's happening.

Um, that's two. But it's a big two.

Oh, this is going to take a while...

I love that I got a chance to work for you.

I love that you killed my project a month before the Arisia I chaired, so I didn't have to pretend to be working. (But the hangover from that one was brutal.) But seriously, you're remarkably unsentimental about projects that don't make business sense, even though I know you were even more invested in Attache than I was.

I love that you've found a field where you can be a major leader, without having to wear a power suit.

I love that you did all that without getting a college degree, and that you hold competence above credentials.

I love that you've integrated Sam into your family in such a public way. I still haven't told my parents about Vicka, largely on the grounds that they probably don't want to know anyway.

I love that our daughters are such good friends.

I love that we're still friends after more than 20 years.

I love that you and [livejournal.com profile] gosling have been making each other so happy for so long.

I love your totally cute kid, and how much you enjoy being a father.

I love your wide and deep taste in music.

I love your maps. I love that you don't find it strange that your party guests might try to deduce the age of a globe by the names of the countries on it, but that you'd even participate.

I love talking with you.

(Sorry about the delay; it's been a busy couple of days.)

I love your dedication to the rats, both as individuals and as genetic lines.

I love that treat Kylie with warmth and respect, and engage her intellectually.

I love your horsemanship. I've never jumped without reins.

I love the way you persevered over a body that really seemed out to get you.

I love that you've kept Baitcon going and improving, year after year. Yes, many other people put in a lot of work, but you're the queen.

I love your dedication to Family, even when it's inconvenient and dislocating.

I love your dumb jokes at 2am. I love your laughter and your hugs.
