Kylie's big birthday present was the Penguin Encounter at the Mystic Aquarium down in Connecticut. It's a small aquarium, but they try to concentrate on doing a few things well. They have a colony of 24 African penguins in an outdoor enclosure, and they use some of them for these "contact" programs.
This individual is a female (as shown by the pink bead on her armband) with the imaginative name of Yellow-Blue.

Date: 2007-11-05 09:04 am (UTC)As for the millipede, yeesh. Bugs don't bother me much in general, but I suspect that all humans have some sort of instinctual aversion to the thought of having said bugs crawl on them. Especially BIG ones.
